Good Evening my healthy and wealthy friends.  I hope you are having a wonderfully blessed weekend.  It's getting close to my bedtime, so I'll be quick.  Just wanted to tell you about my new beginning.  I am starting another chapter of my healthy and wealthy dream.  I am going back to school!!  Yes, school.  Tomorrow I will begin a nutrition program I've been contemplating taking for the last few months. I decided to take the plunge and signed up about 10 days ago.  I am so excited!!  Although I am already a certified nutrition specialist, this program is opening doors and windows I never imagined.  I will keep you posted on my progress and from time to time solicit your advice.  So please, keep me in your prayers and be sure to check in on me to keep me on my toes.

Thank you to everyone for your support. Our journey to living healthy and wealthy is really kicking into high gear now!!  I can't wait for more people to join us on this ride!

If you want to learn more about the program I'm taking, simply click on this link or any of the banners  that I've placed on my site for The Institute for Integrative Nutrition.  The school will also send you a FREE health book that contains a wealth of knowledge.  Check it out today!

When The Going Gets Tough...

Hey all.  Hope you're having a healthy and wealthy Monday.

You know I had to go there..LOL!!
The going got tough for me today.  It almost turned into a manic Monday.  But I rose to the occasion and didn't let the haters, busybodies and the work obsessed people steal my joy.  Oh, they tried.  And they tried.  And they tried over and over again.  Let me tell you something I can officially verify first hand... IGNORANCE NEVER SLEEPS!! And here it is I thought money never slept!  Who knew!!?!?!!?

I woke up at 430am.  Got to work by 6:30am and the drama landed at my doorstep by 8am.  Here's the kicker ... I'd been gone for over a week... 10 days to be exact... and petty folks were still kicking up unnecessary nonsense that allegedly happened before I left.  I say allegedly because the foolish tale I was told was not what happened, but somone tried to drag my name in the mud, and prefaced the lie by saying -- "Not trying to get anyone into trouble .. but I had to tell my manager."  Well, if I were you, I'd want to tell my manager a truthful story.  And if I was uncertain of the facts because I didn't witness what actually went down, then I would either keep my mouth shut or ask the person directly (that would be me) about what really happened.  Good grief!  And to believe this incident involved people who are older than I am.  It's an adult game of "she said, that she said that they said .. uh, I think."

You know the old saying about what happens when you "ASSUME" something.  If you don't leave me a message on the blog and I'll get back to you.

So basically, my words of advice for you today are ...when the going gets tough - you get tougher.  Don't allow people to trample over your feelings and disrespect you.  But you also have to know how to pick and choose your battles.  You don't have to get indignent or belligerant.  Politely check them and put them in their place without causing a scene.  How do you do that?  Well, as my momma always told me, kill them with kindness.  Today, I'm telling you to love them for a lifetime.  I know, I know, it's tough, but somebody's gotta do it.  Might as well be you.

That's all today folks.  Trying to get back in the saddle after my vacation.  I'll have more for you in the near future.  In the meantime - drop me a note on how you're living healthy and wealthy.  I am so curious to hear what you're up to.

Peace!

Have a little faith

Loews Luxury Resort, Henderson, Nevada
Good Saturday Morning healthy and wealthy friends.  I'm here in beautiful Henderson, Nevada for a business conference with more than a thousand believers of the motto:  Your health is your wealth. - but I wanted you to know I hadn't forgotten about you.  And I wanted to give you a little piece of advice to help get you through whatever you may be experiencing.  That advice is:  Have a little faith.

The Bible teaches us:  "...faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Heb:  11:1).  While I eventually want you to have SUPER-SIZED FAITH, for some of us, taking baby steps will one day lead to audacious faith.  Keep working toward you goals, believe in yourself and use your obstacles as stepping stones.  They are the building blocks of faith that will make you invincible in your thoughts and actions.

I'm pulling for you.  You are healthy - you are wealthy.  Now receive this and believe it is done!

Simply The Best

Happy Monday Peeps!!  I trust you are having a healthy and wealthy day.  And if you are not ... well, let's hop to it!  You still have roughly 7 hours to turn things around.  Now with that being said - let's keep in mind that whatever it is you do, are doing or are preparing to do - make sure you do simply the best job that you can.  NO EXCUSES!!!  Remember, you represent you - not the company for which you are doing the job.  So give your assignments, your tasks & your chores your all.  It'll make situations more bearable and you will be able to look yourself in the mirror and be proud.

As the icon Tina Turner sang ... "You're simply the best - better than all the rest!"  Don't forget it!

Your Attitude Determines Your Altitude

Hey there everyone!!  I hope you are experiencing a healthy and wealthy Saturday.  I was just sitting here on my couch, watching the Live Well Network, enjoying some nice baked apples with cinnamon and nutmeg and a hot cup of ganoderma coffee - when this thought hit me:  I really feel good today - mentally and physically - but most importantly, spiritually.

Now, there was nothing "tangible" that happened since waking up this morning - except that I woke up! Praise the Lord!  This to me is the greatest gift I could receive today - or any day for that matter.  But as I reflect on some the the events this past week - there were so many things that transpired that could have sent my attitude and morale into the depths of despair.  But you know what - I refuse to allow negative energy to control my life.

Yes, sometimes this is easier said than done.  But remember, you are in control.  My husband likes to live by his personal adage:  "Don't let anybody get into your head for free."  Being the bargain shopper in the family, I have another rule:  Free or not - if I don't want it - I'm not bringing it home!"  I also apply this to life's every day, unnecessary dramas - personal or work-related.

Your attitude definitely determines your altitude (how you rise above situations).  It is your choice to be happy and to take everything in stride.  Spend a few minutes and assess how you've handled situations in the last few days - or even the last 24 hours.  Did someone or something get under your skin or disappoint you?  Was a co-worker rude or offensive?  Did you experience one of those pricey, unexpected incidentals that always seem to occur at the "best time ever"?  How did you allow it to affect you?  If you can't say the end result was positive or is being addressed in a spiritually appropriate manner - then you might want to go back to the drawing board and either fix the problem or pledge to diligently handle it better in the future.

You always want to remain in control - even when those around you feel like they are running the show.  Don't let them steal your joy - nor you - theirs.  Several cooks can be in the kitchen - just so long as everyone stays on their side of the counter, handle their specialities and treat everyone with RESPECT.  But, when things get a bit messy - just take a deep breath, clear your mind - and tell yourself - "My attitude determines my altitude - and I am above all nonsense."

Keep living healthy and wealthy and we'll see each other at the top!
