Wealthy is as Wealthy does. If at first you don't succeed... well, you know the rest.
Wealthy is as wealthy does... kind of sounds like that famous "stupid is as stupid does" line from the film Forrest Gump!! In other words - it takes one to know one. Whatever the wealthy do - you should imitate them. I'm not saying you should follow everything to the letter - you have to adjust depending on the industry you're trying to capitalize.
A colleague told me today about a program he was watching on television. The guests were all entrepreneurs who were either millionaires or billionaires. Most of them had failed at their businesses several times before reaching their goals. Many had even filed bankruptcy multiple times. Now for some of us, having to file for bankruptcy and failing at our business ventures over and over again, would have taken us out of the game. But true business-minded types know and live by the old saying "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again." I'm sure Mr. Henry Ford didn't hit the jackpot with the very 1st T-Model he rolled out - and we all know the trials of the Wright Brothers. And Madame C.J. Walker had to "whip" a lot of hair and mix-up batches of styling products before coming the first female millionaire.

What makes these people more special than you or me? Absolutely nothing. The difference that sets them apart for the masses is they never gave up. When they hit the wall, they got back up and ran at it again until they scaled it!
I have another example of tenacity and resilience I'd like to share with you. A business partner of mine has been experiencing quite a few hardships as he launched his business. I tell you, if I wasn't as strong as I am, I probably would have laid down and rolled over if I had to deal with what he has in the last few weeks of launching a new business. But no matter what comes up - he always brings his A-Game and positive attitude to the table. When the chips are down - he just won't cave. I have never had a doubt about him, but I do send up a lot of prayers that he does not give up. Today - he had a major breakthrough. He made his first individual sale and even set up and appointment with a retail location who is considering becoming a client. I was so ecstatic, I started hooping and hollering for joy!! I know my neighbors really think I'm crazy now! But, SO WHAT! There is nowhere for my business partner to go but up now. He's already hit rock bottom. Everything will be gravy from this point forward. He is a millionaire in the making. I'm declaring that victory for him right now!
You see what happens when you don't give up? My mom always told me the only thing that beats failure is trying. NEVER EVER, EVER NEVER, NEVER EVER GIVE UP!! I don't care how sick and tired you are of being sick and tired. The enemy or competition wants to see you throw in your towel. What you need to do is throw your towel at the enemy and say - "Wipe that smirk off your face! It's not over until I say it's over!" A wise man by the name of Thomas Edison once said - "Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."
Can't you see I'm not making up this stuff? Way back before any of us were born - our ancestors and forefathers knew the secret to success. The most educated, successful, talented, business savvy, humanitarian-oriented and wealthy people know this. It's an adult game of follow the leader. If its excellence you're striving for then you have to suck it up and stick it out. Yeah, you're gonna be tired, you're going to feel defeated, you're going to hit the wall. Just stay the course. Your victory is just around the corner.

Do you want to be happy or healthy?
Cream or sugar? Black or white? Stop or Go? Left or Right? Which would you rather be - happy or healthy? Some would say leading a healthy life leads to happiness, even if you sometimes have to disappoint others around you. I agree.
The reason I am rasing this question today is because I had someone tell me they only say yes or do things sometimes so they don't hurt someone else's feelings. Even if they know what they're doing is making them sick - physically and mentally. Essentially, what this person is doing could actually kill them. I wish I was exaggerating this story, but I'm not!
Without going into too much detail, here's what this person said to me. They continue to eat and drink things they know they shouldn't because they don't want to hurt the feelings of the people who give these things to them. They said it would be rude to refuse the items. My response: So, how rude are you going to be when you kick the bucket (die) eating and drinking things you know you shouldn't? Who's feelings are going to be hurt then?
Guess what? I didn't get a response. It's exactly what I expected. He'd never even thought about his actions that way.
People.. listen up. It's ok to say no. It's ok to say no thank you. It's ok to say - thanks but no thanks. You get the picture? The freedom to choose is a wonderful thing. It's our God given right. Embrace it. Even when you know it could disappoint someone. Just remember, there is a difference between just saying no because you can - and saying no when you need to. As I stated in an earlier blog - we are our brothers' keeper. Saying no - with an explanation sometimes - as in the situation I mentioned will help people understand the reason for your no. And yes - many times a simple no will also suffice. Sometimes we make the wrong choices based on our lack of knowledge. Don't feel too bad. It's part of the living and learning process. But at some point, wisdom needs to kick in so that we don't keep going down the same and most times wrong path. When you know better, you do better. You are going to see that phrase a lot from me. It's my personal sublimal message.
Making healthy decisions - whether spiritual, diet, career or relationship related, lead to a wealth of happiness. Remember, the choice is yours.

Are you in need of a breakthrough?
I was feeling a little "stuck" today - until I read a blog post from Joel Osteen. I hope this helps you loosen the grip that's keeping you from breaking through to the next level. It encourgaged me.
Oh yeah, Happy Independence Day - in the true sense of the statement. And remember - living healthy and wealthy is a journey. Don't stop now!
Breaking Through to the Next Level
One of the battles we all have to fight in life is the battle of containment. The enemy doesn't want you to go any further. He can't do anything about the ground that you've already gained. He'll give you that. But what he doesn't want is for you to advance. His goal is to keep you contained. That's why it can be very difficult to press through to a new level. There are forces working overtime to try to keep us where we are.Many people are too easily satisfied. They've seen God's goodness and blessing in their health, family and career. But now it's like they've hit a wall. And instead of stretching and believing for bigger things, they get stuck. They start thinking, "Well, I've done pretty well. I've done as good as my parents. I've gone as far as my education allows." No, the scripture says, "The path of the righteous gets brighter and brighter." We are not supposed to hit one level and get stuck there year after year. The enemy wants to contain us, but God wants to expand us. And no matter how long you've been at a certain level, you need to dig your heels in and say, "I will not stay here. I'm going to keep pressing forward. I will not be contained!" You have to have a made-up mind that where you are today is not where you're going to stay. It may not change overnight. It may take months; maybe even years. But deep down you've got know that God has promotion, increase and new levels in your future. He has something big coming your way!
Today, if you feel stuck, know that everyone experiences those feelings on the way to greatness. That's called "the trial of your faith." It's a period of testing. Don't get discouraged and settle where you are and think, "Well, this doesn't work for me; I've tried it for two months." No, you've got to be in it for the long haul. Don't get stuck in your thinking. Victory starts in your mind by agreeing with God and His Word. You may not see a way in the natural, but the good news is that we aren't limited by the natural because we serve a supernatural God! He has explosive blessings that can thrust you to a new level. So keep believing, keep hoping and keep praying today because it's your time to break through to a new level!
So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. (1 Peter 1:6-7, NLT).

Beware of the Dream Stealers
Dreams come in all sizes. Everyone has them. The important thing is this: No matter what your dreams are - they are yours. Don't let anyone steal your joy or your dreams. Build an invisible fence around yourself. Some people don't like to see others prosper. It's the old "misery loves company" theory. For whatever reason, they don't have any goals or aspirations and they try to get in the way of yours. Rebuke them and anything negative in your life. Don't let anything or anyone block your blessings - which are the building blocks for you to live healthy and wealthy.

Prosperity Secrets
Hello Everyone,
I hope you're having a healthy and wealthy day. It has been one week since I started blogging about how to live healthy and wealthy. So far, I think we're off to a good start. As I stated on my first day, this is a journey. Which means, we are going to learn together. I also stated that I will not make any claims of being an expert. But I will always share lessons I learned through experiences. I want you to do the same. The more we know, the more we grow. We can always broaden our horizons by listening and learning from others.
My theory of living healthy and wealthy continues to be reinforced over and over again. And that is - you're not living healthy or wealthy if you aren't sharing your wealth (knowlegdge) with others. That is the true secret to prosperity. You can't put a dollar sign on it either. It's priceless.

Your "Why" Should Make You Cry
Everyone has their reasons why they want to be healthy and wealthy. Some want to be wealthy simply for financial reason. Others want to be healthy (or in shape) because they want others to think they're attractive. While these are totally subjective matters - I've learned there's one compelling factor that transcends any reason for wanting health or wealth. That factor is your "why." Yes, I said your "why." Your why should make you cry. I don't mean sobbing because you feel sorry for yourself either. This cry should be your burning desire to become financially independent and healthy. Not for things like - "..I want to make the women hate me and all the men want me." I want you to go deep down inside to the places that keep you up at night. Do you have a sick parent, spouse or child? Are you afraid of not being able to provide for your family? Are you always working and never have time to spend with loved ones? Are you just sick and tired of being sick and tired? These are just a few of the thoughts people wrestle with on a daily and nightly basis that stress them out and keep them tossing and turning and their stomachs in knots.
So, what are you going to do about it? Are you just going to keep going day by day hoping your situation improves - or are you going to take a stand do something about it? The choice is yours. A few simple changes could mean the difference of you just exisiting or living the life of your dreams. And don't forget, when you change, the people around you change too. Hopefully it's for the better. But if not, that's ok too. Everything happens for a reason. This is your season to turn things around in your favor.
